• We collect what we need to run this website, respond when you reach out, and improve what we ship. Nothing more.
• We personalize what you see on axelerant.com using an anonymous visitor ID stored in your browser. No name, no email required to see personalized copy.
• Our AI concierge Foyer sends your typed brief to a large language model to compose a response. It never receives your contact details unless you submit them.
• We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the vendors listed under Subprocessors, and only for the purposes described here.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, corrections, or deletion at any time. Contact us.

Axelerant Technologies, Inc. is the data controller for personal data processed through axelerant.com. Registered address:

Founded 2005, remote-first since 2012. Around 150 people across 12 countries.

Three kinds of information, only:

1. Information you give us

• Contact form and Foyer submissions: name, work email, company, and whatever you type into the message field.
• Newsletter signups and gated downloads: email, and any role or company detail you choose to share.
• Job applications: the details you submit through our careers surface.

2. Information collected automatically

• Anonymous visitor ID: a random identifier we store in your browser (localStorage key axl_visitor_id) so we can remember which pages you have seen on this device and adapt what we show you. It is not linked to your name unless you submit a form.
• Page visits: the URLs you view on axelerant.com, page titles, and referring URL, tied to the anonymous visitor ID.
• Product analytics events: clicks, form submits, and page views captured by PostHog for measurement and product improvement.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see the Analytics and marketing tools section below.

3. Information from third parties

• Company-level identification: tools such as Leadfeeder (Dealfront) and RB2B may associate a website visit with the company or, in the United States only, the professional identity of a visitor, based on IP and public business data. Not used to build a profile of you as an individual outside of a B2B sales context.
• Enrichment for people who contact us: when you submit a form we may look up publicly available business information about you and your employer so we can respond usefully.

• To answer your questions and follow up when you ask us to.
• To send you the newsletters, briefs, or job updates you have signed up for. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.
• To personalize what you see on axelerant.com so the site feels less generic on your second and third visit.
• To measure what works and what does not, so we can improve the site.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
• To power Foyer, our AI concierge, when you ask it to compose a response to your brief.

Our legal bases under GDPR are: your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, newsletter), the performance of a contract or a step you asked us to take (responding to your enquiry), and our legitimate interests in running and improving a business website (basic security, aggregate analytics, remembering your visitor ID).

axelerant.com adapts what you see based on the pages you have visited on this device. For example, if you have been reading engineering case studies, the homepage headline and calls to action lean into engineering language on your next visit. If you have been reading design work, the same hero leans design.

How the mechanism works, in plain terms:

• On your first visit, your browser generates a random visitor ID and stores it in localStorage as axl_visitor_id.
• As you move around the site, we record the path of pages you view against that ID on our servers.
• When you land on a personalized page, we look at your recent paths and pick a copy variant. If you have no history, or you have cleared your browser storage, you see the default copy.
• We measure which variants perform better so we can improve the site. We do not use this to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

To opt out, clear your site data for axelerant.com, or use private browsing. We will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.

Foyer is the input field at the top of the site that lets you describe a business problem and get a structured response back. It exists to speed up how we understand what you need.

• What is sent: the text you type, the intent chip you click, and a short trail of pages you have viewed on this device.
• Where it goes: to a large language model through the Lovable AI Gateway, which today routes to model providers such as Google (Gemini) and OpenAI. Providers process the request under their own privacy terms and do not train their public models on this content.
• What we store: the brief you submitted, the response we returned, and any follow-up conversation, tied to your anonymous visitor ID. If you provide an email to receive a dossier or continue the conversation, that email is stored with the record.
• What we do with it: we read Foyer briefs to improve prompts, spot patterns, and follow up when you have asked us to. We do not use Foyer conversations for advertising.
• Do not paste secrets: Foyer is a business concierge, not a secure channel. Please do not paste passwords, API keys, or regulated personal data into it.

To run and improve axelerant.com we use:

• PostHog for product analytics: pageviews, clicks, and form submissions. Person profiles are created only when you identify yourself by submitting a form.
• Google Analytics for traffic analysis and behavior insights.
• Microsoft Clarity for session-level understanding of how pages perform.
• LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure engagement from our LinkedIn campaigns.
• Leadfeeder (Dealfront) to identify the company-level visits to our site from IP address.
• RB2B to identify professional visitors from the United States for B2B outreach.
• HubSpot for contact management, email marketing, and marketing operations after you have submitted a form or subscribed.

These tools set cookies or similar identifiers. Where required by law we ask for your consent through a cookie banner before loading non-essential ones. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies for axelerant.com and reopening the site.

You can opt out of retargeting through the industry tools listed at youradchoices.com and youronlinechoices.com.

We use trusted vendors to run this site and the services behind it. Each of them processes personal data on our behalf under a written contract.

Where a vendor processes data outside your region, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only:

• With the subprocessors listed above, for the purposes described.
• With professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, auditors) when required.
• If required by law, a court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different policy.

• Contact and Foyer submissions: retained for up to 24 months while you are an active prospect or customer, then deleted or anonymized. Active customer records are retained for the life of the engagement plus 24 months.
• Anonymous visitor ID and page-visit history: retained on our servers for 180 days on a rolling basis to power personalization, then pruned. Clearing your browser storage detaches your device from any prior history.
• Foyer dossiers and chat transcripts: retained for 90 days to improve the experience for repeat visits, then deleted.
• Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe, plus a 12-month suppression record so we do not re-email you by mistake.
• Analytics events: PostHog 12 months, Google Analytics 14 months, Microsoft Clarity 30 days, used in aggregate.
• Legal and financial records: retained for the period required by applicable law (typically 7 years for tax and contracts).

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights over your personal data:

• Access a copy of what we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your data (right to erasure).
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting processing that was lawful before you withdrew.
• Data portability, where technically feasible.
• Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California residents have specific rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by these laws.

We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, role-based access control, and audit logging on administrative systems. Access to production data is limited to a small number of authorized team members and is reviewed periodically.

No system is perfect. If you spot a vulnerability, please email security@axelerant.com so we can investigate.

If we identify a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users by email and on-site notice within one business day of confirming the impact, alongside any notifications required by law.

axelerant.com is a business website intended for professionals. It is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, email hey@axelerant.com and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged on the site or by email where appropriate.
